What is a bantu knot? A Bantu knot is when you take a section of your hair whether it be properly parted or not and you take your finger and you coil the hair around your finger until you have a small maybe 2 inch bun on top of your head. And this is usually done it over to achieve two separate looks.
The first look would be the more exotic look of the band to not being in random places all over your hair . The second look would be to release the Bantu not from the not on top of your scalp and this causes the hair that was once not it to come out in a curly/wavy form and the bantu knots being so tight for so long whether that be a few hours or days it will leave your hair in a consistent wave like curl
