Cantu Coconut Curling Cream

Who does not love softer hair? Well if you want it YOU GOT IT.

This product definitely takes its place on top for softening and definition. Especially if you are 1a-3a with low porosity. This is the product for you if you mainly want the wet look effortlessly. HOWEVER if you are 3a- 4c with high porosity then you will need a cocktail….. A product cocktail that is. Do NOT mix it with the Cantu Define & Shine Custard. The chemicals just don’t mix well. Your result will be uneven all over. Some hard curls some soft, some defined and shiny and other puffy and flaky NOT CUTE.

LABEL

Pros: A very light product that provides definition and is great at sealing moisture

Cons: You can’t use this for laying down your edges if you have curly edges. This is specific to style use i.e. Twist Out, Bantu Knot, etc..

Cost: $5.38 at PharmaPacks

Cocktail with: Another Oil Based Product is optional but this item can stand alone. For shingling I would add Eco Styler Gel afterwards (not together).

Rating: 2.5/5

Heavy or Light: Light

Smell: Sweet and very potent, no need for additional perfume with this one

Appearance: A regular white cream, thin so the closest thing I could compare it too would be the consistency of maybe salad dressing

Texture: Not Sticky at all this item is very thin and smooth

    1. I would definitely go with either Shea Moisture Organic Curl Enhancing Smoothie or Deva Curl Set It Free Moisture Lock. The Deva can be a bit pricey but it makes a huge difference in curls. The Shea Moisture is definitely my favorite because it smoothly blends with everything.
